I had the same problems with mov, mpg, avi formats. The only work around I
could find is to use oggconvert to convert to matroska. This allowed me to
render without the white flash at the end, however the audio keeps going for a
second or so.
I can't see this being an incompatible video file error. Another problem is the
video preview works really slowly when I use these converted files.
I'm still working on finding other workarounds, however has any one else found
other workarounds?

Status in OpenShot Video Editor: Confirmed

Bug description:
When playing most of the imported avi files in the preview pane, they 'flash'
at the end. This flashing will also show up when exported. The 'flashes' don't
show when the file is played in Totem or VLC.
When I try to trim the scene to get rid of this annoying behaviour, sometimes I
can trim it away, but other times new flashing endings appear.

OS: 32 bit Ubuntu 8.04, Kernel 24-24
No build, just installed debs.
OpenShot 0.9.22
