I was trying to do a "picture in a picture", I had a "master" clip and then a shorter clip on the track on top. I used a transition as a mask to make the shorter clip appear on the upper left corner with a softer (feathered) border using a mask so that both clips can be seen.
However I wanted the shorter clip to only have 60% opacity and to fade in and out 4 sec. Using a mask, the clip's alpha value (set in the Layout tab) was ignored. Also, the clip's fade in and fade out (set in the Video tab) was also ignored. Is this intended or not? -- clip properties are ignored when mask is applied https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/516405 You received this bug notification because you are a member of OpenShot Developers, which is subscribed to OpenShot Video Editor. Status in OpenShot Video Editor: New Bug description: When I apply a mask to a video clip, any properties I had previously applied to the clip are ignored. It would be great if a clip's fade-in, fade-out and alpha settings were retained even when a mask is applied.
