Did you sure that you have not done an typing error ? How is called your blender folder ? The best mean for knowing if your installation is correct before having an error in Openshot is to launch blender directly in a console by the following command : /home/myuser/blender/blender Did it launch ? when you are using a terminal, you have the automatic completation i.e. you write ho,type on the TAB button and it is completed i..e home etc...
