Bug description:
Today I found something strange in Openshot. I'm going to try to summarize
the problem:
- Folder with 250 JPG images.
- Imported images to project.
- Selected all the images in the "project files" view.
- Right Button -> Add to Timeline -> No fade -> RANDOM Transition of 1.5
seconds.
- Save project (only 2 tracks, all photos + transitions, no audio).
- Export project to video file.
- "Render" reaches a given point -> openshot closes -> SEGMENTATION FAULT in
console where I launched it.
- I reopen project and press "PLAY" in the preview window -> preview reaches
a given point -> openshot closes -> SEGMENTATION FAULT.
- I reopen project and move the redline manually -> red line reaches a given
point -> openshot closes -> SEGMENTATION FAULT.
- I notice that the project always crashes at the same point: I go to the JPG
image where it crashed -> replace it with another one -> Crashes again.
- After a lot of tests, I notice that the problem is not in the image, the
problem is the transition.
- I delete the "conflictive" transition and add another transition manually
(dissolve).
- I re-export the image, and the export reaches and passes the "error" point
correctly, but the program crashes again 6-7 minutes later, in another
transition.
- I replace the second problematic transition, and the export works perfectly
for 100% of the file.
So, for 250+ images with random transitions, I found 2 transitions
where openshot crashed.
I can't tell what concrete transition crashed because I replaced them
to get the render done, but maybe it could be reproduced by developers
or maybe the above info can give an idea about the possible problem.
