I'm glad to hear! I could alleviate the problem with an extra exception
handler, but the fact that the exception was happening was not a good
thing. It is likely that my student who run into this same problem was
running that VirtualBox too. Other students with Macs didn't have this
problem.

Peeps! Progress made :) I think we really will have a MacSimStick.
I now believe the culprit is the Sun VirtualBox network adapter. I
started digging into
Mono errors, removed Vbox, and am happy to say that I can run Diva on my Mac!
I will clean up a few items on MacSimStick and come up with an update by Sunday.
(some libs still pointing at local disk.. d'oh)
more soon,

Greetings Folks,
I've made a lot of progress towards getting a self contained OpenSim environment
running on a USB Key on the Mac.
But there is a huge showstopper bug with Mono and Networking.
So if you are handy with Mono on a Mac, and you are keen to see this happen,
please see my blog post, download the 240 meg disk image, and give it a go.
I think we could be close!
More info and download link at:

(I'm not putting the direct link to the disk image here, because I dont want
someone reading too quickly, downloading, and expecting it to just work
out of the box - we're not there yet)
thanks all!
Daniel
