Hi Diva. I'm just coming into a window where I'll have a fair amount of time to
help with 0.7.1 release candidates.
I've spoken to Melanie and she's told me how to hook up the new prim taint
module and the other issues that need to be
addressed in this area.
Once this is done, would it be okay to branch for the first 0.7.1 rc? Are there
any other blockers (apart from the LSL
teleport events which I will also take a look at)?
I'm very happy to do the branching and start pushing releases if other concerns
are absorbing your time :)
Regards,
I'd be happy to test =)
The only blocker I have noticed so far is
http://opensimulator.org/mantis/view.php?id=5403 and perhaps a strange issue
(not necessarily a block) that occurs when sitting on a pose ball while your
avatar is moving (more easily noticed if
you've scripted an object with an RLV sit command and the avatar is "grabbed"
while moving).
When you sit on a pose ball while the avatar is moving it will sit on the ball,
then continue to float off endlessly as
if connection was lost and the avatar is lagging. Has not done this prior to
0.7.1.
Looking forward to the RC =)
Cool. That particular bug is quickly coming up on my list of things to look at. You may want to Mantis the other one
as well if you can reproduce it to a simple sequence of repeatable steps.
Blockers is going to be a somewhat elastic definition. At this alpa level of code maturity, I would say that it
generally means things that make OpenSim completely unusable (more so than previously!) or are significant regressions
from previous functionality. Core developers have the final say on classification. However, I hope that we can address
a reasonable number of bugs as well.
