Curious, I haven't seen this detach/reattach behaviour on login, though as Melanie said, you do see objects containing
scripts update their assets on logout or detach in order to preserve script state.
Yeah, I tend not to worry much about these things since the effects are swamped
by texture assets.

My motivation for this thread was the problem I've seen with attachments.
All of our avatars (on Kitely) have an attachment with a Walk script. I've
seen that often when viewers login they detach and then reattach the
attachments. This causes a new copy of the Walk attachment to be created
each time. I wanted to delete these unneeded copies, and I thought that this
could be done easily, but it turns out that doing it safely is a lot of
work. So I'm dropping this; the amount of data taken by these scripts is
small compared to the other assets.
