Perhaps what is really needed is to rename "GridCommon.ini" to something like 
"ServicesCommon.ini" since it is really largely about configuration of common 
services always used by opensim regardless of whether it is in standalone or 
grid mode.   

Of course I would be happier still if we moved on from these old school config 
files to a nice opensim DSL.  :)
