Why are you supporting push at all? Shouldn't this be being deprecated with the intent of removal????
(Also....a new protocol version ought to be as simple as adding /asset1/ next to /asset/ and adding a note to the log that the /asset/ resource is going to be removed at some point in the future.) -- No essence. No permanence. No perfection. Only action.
