Thanks Wordfromthe Wise... that's a good pointer... the default
console log level is "DEBUG". Have we any idea which is the level
to change it to exclude the regular statistics dump into the
console? Or is it separately enabled and hard wired?
I note that on the wiki page on Logging that the line below about
just using "set log level" without a parameter does not do what the
wiki advertises, "Not specifying any level will tell you what the
current console logging level is. "...
