We also like to know when the APIs aren't working for 3rd party developers and need rethinking. We've done a lot of those adjustments for 3rd party functionality like DSG, my own Diva addons, and many proprietary addons by core devs. The more the interfaces are challenged by new uses, the better/more general they tend to get.
