Thanks a lot WordfromtheWise, that helped for the moment, I hope there
will be a fix later :)
FYI: on openSuSE 11.2 you find the default locales in
/etc/sysconfig/language
And it is NOT enough to change the value for RC_LC_NUMERIC, you have to
change the value RC_LANG to "en_US.UTF-8"
Best regards
Georg
There is already a MANTIS filed on this. In the thread mentionend below
there are some solutions but all together this is not yet fixed. It is a
error with regional localisation (english and european number formats and
decimal strings like . and , )

*Betreff:* [Opensim-users] wrong starting locations
When loging in to my local opensim server (gridmode on openSuSE with
0.6.8 running in mono 2.4.2.3) I always start at the upper right
corner of a region endless high in the sky - no matter if I choose "my
home" or "last location". After 2 or 3 teleports with manually setting
the Z-value of the destination to something reasonable it all works
fine again.
A new user starts at his first login at the default region place, but
after that, it always goes like above mentioned.
I can not find anything relevant in the log files, just in the console
I get from time to time a line like:
[SCENE COMMUNICATION SERVICE]: RequestTeleportToLocation <255, 255,
9.671107E+07> within regionName
Does someone know what could go wrong there?
Best regards
Georg
