Hi Clive. That post actually refers to a change shortly after 0.6.9 was
branched. There is no separate Friends module in 0.6.9 so I'm guessing that
maybe you accidentally downloaded OpenSim master instead (where this friends
issue will occur without changes to config-include/StandaloneCommon.ini
So far I have downloaded and buit the latest version of the HEAD,
copied over the configuration and texture files from my previous
installation of 0.6.9 and edited OpenSim.ini to add the friends
information from OpenSim.ini.example.
The commands I have used to copy over the configuration files are listed below:
cp opensim-0.6.9-pre-release/bin/OpenSim.ini
opensim-0.6.9-060510/bin/OpenSim.ini
cp opensim-0.6.9-pre-release/bin/config-include/StandaloneCommon.ini
