My main worry is the database. It has changed substantially I understand

there an extra step or two to be done?

I clarified and expanded the text that you're referring to.

If you point 0.7[.x.x] at a 0.6.9 database (and earlier) it will upgrade it automatically, though always take a database backup first in came something goes wrong, of course.

The harder part is the configuration file changes. Copying them across from 0.6.9 can result in strange errors - it's much better to use the new examples and move any changes you've made manually.

I may have missed it. The opensimulator.org wiki seems to have a somewhat
broken search (not full text). Is this written up somewhere?

See http://opensimulator.org/wiki/0.7_Release

Thanks very much but all that page says about upgrading precisely is this:

"Upgrading from older releases is done as usual; no special provisions are required.
However, the configuration files have changed, and you need to pay close attention to
them."

I have no idea what that "as usual" is. Please point me to that information.
A link in this page to that information would also be very useful.
