I found it once, but with so many updates and changes I seemed to have
lost the variable in the opensim.ini that I changed to not look as if
I am floating off the ground by 6 inches when my av is only 5' 11"
tall. Could someone help me get the feet of a realistically sized AV
back on the ground?

Are you running 0.7.X series of OS? I am having a similar problem but I
can't seem to find any setting to fix this in OpenSim.ini or
OpenSimDefaults.ini
