The misunderstanding here is probably caused by "with OSGrid". If you
connect your region to OSGrid (i.e. let OSGrid handle accounts, and you
just run the region services on your own machine) then you indeed can't
use wifi, as user accounts and inventories will be handled by OSGrid.
If you just want to have your own grid/standalone that can hypergrid to
OSGrid (and other grids), then you can use Wifi, regardless of whether
you're running in Grid or Standalone mode.
The 4096 region limit is not related to OSGrid, but is a general OpenSim
issue. The workaround here is to either have the center of your grid where
most other grids you want to visit are centered (afaik that's around
10000,10000), or to have some "bridge" regions you can teleport to first,
and from there reach grids that are futher away, coordinate-wise, than
your starting point.
For example: You run your OpenSim regions around 1000,1000, but you want
to hypergrid to OSGrid, which is centered around 10000,10000. You would
need an intermediate region that's closer than 4096 to 10000,10000 (your
destination) and also closer than 4096 to 1000,1000 (your starting point).
Since 1000+4096=5096 and 10000-4096=5904, we actually need two
intermediate regions. So you'd have to create a region at around
4000,4000, and another one around 8000,8000, then teleport to the 4000,
from there to 8000, and from there to your destination on OSGrid.

Now, are you saying that the standalone I am running is actually a grid ?
If so, is there anyway I can get help with the search problem which when
clicked crashes the viewer.

I just want to run my own place which can use the Wifi Web UI and
HG to lets say OSGrid, PMGrid etc which at the moment I can't.
Most times it comes up with cannot TP due to being 4095 regions away or
the
HG URL's don't work
Help on these would be gratefully appreciated
