It's clear from the comments included in the OpenSim.ini that 'TrustBinaries' is used in combination with 'AllowScriptCrossing' I'd assume the intent is to avoid recompiling scripts as you cross into a new region. How 'dangerous' it is depends on how you're running your regions.

humm... i thought this was handled by the "AllowScriptCrossing" option with
keep scripts running on different simulators.

binaries, have a high risk of viruses and other nasty stuff...
