Inu what you are attempting is to split up your regions you need to start a second instance of Opensim on a new port the region ports can stay the same the default Opensim port is 9000 unless you changed your start a new instance on say 9001 move the regions into the regions file and start it make sure the databases are pointing to your mysql server I for the sake of making it easy just copied the Opensim and grid common ini files and changed the Opensim port number everything should be the same otherwise keep it simple if you want to try just move 1 region

Before I ruin my entire world I want to be sure I understand this. I make an exact copy of my opensim directories which includes the bin folders and more. Making myself a opensim 0.7.2 and maybe a opensim 0.7.2a? And the only difference in the directories would be that I only cvopy half of my region.inifiles into the new opensim directories and remove them all from the first. Also, since I start my current working grid that runs 56 regions at 9030. I choose 9030 because a web page that checks my open ports showed me for some reason in my windows 7 machine ports 9004 and a few others where being used. I had 56 free ports that started at 9030, so I used that. So now I leave the first instance starting at 9030 but then tell the new instance it starts at 9058? So, will people IMing across to the sims on the other instance still see each other? How are Tping from one instance to another handling the split? I am running in standalone. I am worried a bit about ruining how well it is working now. But I could really use a boost. I can't aford a major computer upgrade at this time. InuYasha.
