Though I've never used them myself, I think it should just be a case of setting enable_windlight = true in [LightShare] and AllowLightShareFunctions = true in [XEngine].

Setting the windlight parameters through the normal client mechanisms should also work in OpenSimulator 0.7.4-rc1 (though not 0.7.3.1 or before). However, again I've never actually used these myself.

I was going to write a decent weather system for my grid, hoping to use the

create real world weather. Use google to find current weather in Naha Okinawa,

windlight to set clouds and fog instead of the old particle generators.

MY problem is I seem to have found lots of old information on Scripting for
this. Including some things I need to do to
my opensim.sql first. I stumbled upon old info as far back as Sept 2010. Could
someone explain to me the current
requirements to successfully manipulate the shared windlight features and what
I must to in 7.3.1 and after. I just
downloaded 7.4. Will be installing as soon as my 64GB flash drive comes to back
up everything I own first. 56 Regions,
all my textures I have worked on, and the sql files.

I don't want to fight with old information, I need to know the new info to be
sure I change the correct settings in
opensim.ini and any opensim.ini changes, and possibly and changes to the basic
scripting to manipulating windlight.

Thanks for your time.
