The cache reset worked. I did an operating system-level reset by deleting files on one system and a reset using the "Clear Cache" button in the Network section of the Preferences in Singularity. Each of them worked.
In the process, I realized that all of my previous work with standalone systems had been on a single system - never over the network. I appreciate the help.
