Yeah --home was --profile up until 0.7.3.

I must admit, I haven't look at --home for a while but from what R.Gunther is saying it sounds like it works. I believe it places the url (in this case http://www.osgrid.org) in the creator information - I don't know if it then appends anything else.

From looking at [1], the original intention may have been to make this a link to each user's profile on the 'home' grid given. However, I'm not sure if this work has reached a point where one could just use that URL to see the original user's profile, esp. as profile support seems rather sketchy atm.

what i know is that the follwing line seems to work. --profile is old.

save oar --home http:\\www.osgrid.org <filename.oar>

In this case i use osgrid as grid you live one.

Hello,

I've noticed when loading the oar file of a backup, all objects were marked as
created by me, even those which were
not. Does "--publish" flag solve this problem ? I've read its purpose, but I
don't understand it completely. Why does
the normal behavior when saving oar is not to keep the creator and owner of
objects ?

I've also seen about the "--perm" tag that :

If the --perm option is specified then objects with insufficient permissions
will not be saved to the OAR. The user
whose permissions are checked is the estate owner. This can be useful for grids
that allow their customers to export
their regions to OARs, because it ensures that exporting to OAR can't be used
to bypass content permissions.

How is it possible ? I see no option in the ini files to force this behavior,
so it's up to the customers to use or
not this flag.

Thank you
