Hi folks. I'm pleased to announce that 0.8-rc2 is now available, the second release candidate for 0.8. As usual,
download links are at [1] and release notes at [2].
This "release candidate" has been updated with master development code up until commit 2759746 (Tues 27th May 2014).
However, subsequent release candidates and/or the final release will now focus purely on regression or extremely major
bug fixes in mainline functionality.
Regression fixes in RC2 include a fix for avatar/script chat being heard in neighbouring regions when the avatar should
have been out of range and a fix for broken script error location reporting.
As always, many, many thanks to the hard work of all the developers, testers and community volunteers who make
OpenSimulator possible.
