I would prefer it if some form of my auto-IP-change-detection patch ended up in 2.0, whether that's the version I posted or a more "correct" implementation.
If everyone else would rather move ahead without it though then that's ok too; I can always add it back in to my own builds myself, as it's proved essential to me to work around issues on some networks/PCs.
