Dear slp experts,
I stuumbled into a problem in a network setup in which I can't have multicasts. I wanted to configure a slpd daemon on one host to be a DA, that seems to work. In another host, I edited the slp.conf configuration and set net.slp.DAAddresses = DA_IP_ADDRESS where DA_IP_ADDRESS is the ip on which the DA listens. When I run slptool findsrvs service:directory-agent I get however service:directory-agent://IP_OF_LOCAL_SLPD If I do not run a slpd daemon on the host at which I run slptool, the slptool hangs for a view seconds (presumably waiting for some timeout) only to report the same IP_OF_LOCAL_SLPD afterwards.
