Hi All,

OpenSocial sounds like it could be a solution to a lot of problems. I
think it is really exciting.

I was wondering about a specific use case for it...

I have friends that exclusively use the myspace web interface, i.e. by
logging in at myspace.com. I personally like to do messaging with
pidgin, and now that pidgin has support for myspace IM, I would like
to be able to instant message my friends that use myspace.com on the
web (they do not use an IM client, they only use the web). Is it
possible to do this already?

If it is not currently possible, could an application be written in
OpenSocial that could be installed and even be used by default by a
myspace.com web user that could then instant message with a user of
pidgin using myspace IM?

Thanks,
Todd
