Who's interested in a Location service for OpenSocial? I work at Me.dium and we have a sidebar application that allows users to share their on-line location with others in real-time. We'd like to start a discussion on how to best contribute this information to OpenSocial so that others can integrate real-time location data into their applications.
We're passionate about privacy and giving users complete control over the data they're sharing. We believe that users will only part with that data if we provide some killer apps in return. With that said... We'd like to hear from you. Would you use this? What are the keys to doing it right? We'll be working on a draft proposal for this location service over the next few days. Your comments can directly influence it.
