You have to have _IG_FetchContent from the Google Gadget API
Check http://code.google.com/apis/gadgets/docs/remote-content.html#Fetch_text
for code samples with this function
Use a url structure of url?param1=val1&param2=val2&etc... to
extrenalize your values
