Hi Lane, I just finished going through the entire OpenSocial API v0.6 specs. I wish there is an interface for communities also. I found lots of significant values for developing apps for the various communities.
Also is there tutorial or sample codes on developing OpenSocial apps without using the Google Gadgets, ie. employing pure Javascripts and using my own widgets.
