No, I don't believe that friendfeed has access to anything but public data on the sites they aggregate. I don't work for or with friendfeed, though, so this is just speculation on my part.
With regards to getting email addresses, the 0.7 spec includes a field for emails on Person objects, but it will be up to each container's privacy policy as to whether they will allow applications access to this data. You can see the documentation on this field here: http://code.google.com/apis/opensocial/docs/0.7/reference/opensocial.Person.Field.html#EMAILS As each container launches, you will see whether they support this field. However, my feeling is that many will not due to privacy and spam concerns. ~Arne On Jan 27, 8:50 pm, techlead <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > Hello Arne! > Thanks to replay! > As friendfeed.com use a email addess for registration. > Is it mean they have access for databases of corresponding sites to > fetch data ? > Is there any other technique to fetch data from servers of given > emailid i? > Please reply! > > On Jan 16, 12:46 am, "Arne Roomann-Kurrik (Google)" > > <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > > Hitechlead, > > > I've actually been using friendfeed but haven't seen them using > > OpenSocial yet - they ask their users for account information and then > > retrieve data from a variety of sources and aggregate everything > > together - this is how they have access to email addresses (by asking > > users for it when they register on the site). > > > It's possible I've missed something.
