Thank you Lane so very much... a follow up question if you dont mind.
First, let me just say how very grateful I am for the guidance that
Google is offering on both the container and gadget side of this
development. I have received help from two other people there at
google on the opensocial team, Evan Gilbert and David McLaughlin.

Next, I should show you the website we are developing, since it has
taken us about 11 months to set this up (I am the only developer,
actually, and my native language is Chinese, so I work with some
Americans who help me with translations).

Here is my follow up question(s):

1. I know now how an app gets the viewer data, but where does this
data come from?

I have reviewed and studied what orkut makes available about this::

hello3.xml
&parent=http://sandbox.orkut.com
&lang=en-GB
&country=GB
&synd=orkut
&view=canvas
&mid=2
&h=600

&gadgetId=01985753392503118630
&gadgetOwner=05488452826466171485
&gadgetViewer=05488452826466171485
&view-params=

So, my question is:
Does the data come from #st=...?
Is "&" the same as "&"?

Since I dont speak or read English very well, I have only read through
the Apache forum at a very slow pace, and have not completed reading
much of it (I literally translate every work so it takes a long time).
Please tell me if my question is one that I should be looking to the
Apache Opensocial forum to answer, so I will know to focus on getting
that translated for my future questions.

Thanks!

Robby Zhu
