In the API reference documentation, the description for the newMessage
method in the Method Summary section is exactly the same as the
newActivityMediaItem method (see
http://code.google.com/apis/opensocial/docs/0.7/reference/opensocial.html#method_summary).
The description for newMessage is also exactly the same as the
newActivityMediaItem method within the Method Detail section as well
(see
