You don't need download any specific file of the opensocial api. The
applications run inside the containers (MySpace, Orkut etc). And the
interaction between your code and the opensocial api is through
javascript.
The entry point for the application is a xml file, inside it you put
the html and javascript code.
Read the tutorial and you wil see how it works.
