I guess we don't need to start a whole rails projects, instead we can just write the different loops needed for each Data API (people, activities, persistence) in order to generate each atom feed using Rails 2.0 functionality I posted before , it should be pretty straight forward. What would be more? interesting would be to start a project on writing a library to consume those atom feeds and turn them into ruby hashes. I'm sure there are several atom feeds reader libs in ruby on rubyforge. Any experience on that?
