This morning's musings are all about this area. I'm getting the 
impression that this whole OpenSocial project is going to have the side 
effect of giving another push to Atom, AtomPub, oAuth and OpenID. To the 
point where anybody who is anybody building a website with social 
network elements will have to support them all.

Us early developers are going to be struggling a bit because oAuth 
support in PHP is not yet mature. After all the ink is barely dry on the 
spec. And even OpenID is not in PEAR yet although the JanRain library 
seems to be fairly stable.

I wonder when Twitter will support oAuth as well as HTTP Auth. And 
AtomPub as well as their proprietary API.
