The Apache Shindig open source project will provide a reference
implementation of an OpenSocial server.
http://opensocialapis.blogspot.com/2007/12/lets-get-this-shindig-started.html
The first language in which it will be implemented is java.
Then will come a PHP version.
We hope someone will contribute a .NET version as well (the project is open
to the community and looking for commiters for other languages:-)

When the Java version is finalized I suggest that you take a look at how the
plumbing is done between the javascxript files and the java backend, and
replicate that in .NET.
