http://google.com/friendconnect solves this for you for a few OpenSocial sites & is a good example of how you can use these open protocols to build such a service.
It can also be used to have a facebook connect like button on your site (see allforgood.org as example, which uses both GFC and FBC). Now not all social sites offer OpenID and OAuth support for their OpenSocial REST API, MySpace does but I believe that linked-in doesn't, if you're interested in that I would suggest contacting them and letting them know of your interest. -- Chris On Thu, Sep 17, 2009 at 1:09 AM, Tyler <[email protected]> wrote: > > Is it possible to use OpenSocial as an API to access MySpace/LinkedIn > data for integrating into 3rd party sites (as Facebook Connect is > used) instead of having to use each site's specific API? > > > > --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Implementing OpenSocial Containers" group.
