Be sure have include <Require feature="views" /> in gadget xml
If the result is blank that is mean you have no params set. Must to
use gadgets.views.getParams(); to obtain app params
Ex:
var params = {};
params['key'] = 'value';
gadgets.views.requestNavigateTo(views.canvas,params);
will load ...&appParams=%7B%22key%22%3A%22value%22%
var my_params = gadgets.views.getParams();
