HI guys, I have a suggestion that may help in Debugging Apps and the Opensocial API.
The Issue: 1. Most developers want to test their apps with a significant set of users ( 50 or more ). However most of us do not have access to 50+ friends who have the ability to play with the apps. 2. It may be hard for Opensocial/orkut team to replicate the bug as they may not have access to the profiles and friends that the developer has and view versa. Sugegstion : 1. Create a private orkut/open social testing group. 2. Add dummy test profiles with sandbox access, managed by google. 3. Each app gets two test profiles in the group, co managed by Google and developer. 4. Developers can add dummy profiles as friends. Developers can then test their apps using these profiles. When an issue gets reported google can now test and replicate the issue with in the same environment as the developer.
