I have done apps on Facebook, Friendster, Bebo and MySpace and naively thought I could just use my Myspace code on Orkut but I don't see how or I am missing something. So I have a bunch of questions
1. I read that to add an app you put in a URL which I did and I see a canvas page of the XML file but how do I get the consumer key and consumer secret info so I can do oauth calls back to Orkut. Do I just put my entire web page in the CDATA section of the xml file? 2. I don't see any type of install process where a user gets authenticated nor so I see any data being passed from the orkut requests to my server. 3. how do I do RESTful API calls to get user and friend info and send notifications etc...? 4. on myspace there is an iFRAME that the canvas page runs in and then the profile and home page have opensocial JS code in them (which I have just calling a page on my server that then does what I need). What is the equivalent on Orkut? 5. Can i use cookies to track user sessions?
