here how the workflow goes about
1. You develop the application on ur system using happy hour /
shindig.
(or)
Sign up for sandbox on hi5/orkut and submit your xml file.
xml file can be hosted any place that is web accesible ( Your
server / Google Code )
2. Once u submit ur xml file ur application will get an application ID
and you can test drive it for compatibity and bugs.
3. If your application is complaint and bug free , you submit your
application to orkut / hi5.
You wait for it get reviewed and approved.
After it gets reviewed and approved your application would be
visible to all users.
4. The design of the site can be defined in the app xml ( CSS / JS /
markups ).
To make it simple app xml is a collection of pages ( a page in
each view ).
Each view can interact with your server side using ajax ( using
gadgets.io.makeRequest() )
