While we are encouraging all developers to make use of automatic URL rewriting and gadgets.io.getProxyUrl, we have noticed that several of you have opted to include hard-coded links to your proxied resources of the form:
http://www.gmodules.com/ig/proxy?url=<ENCODED_RESOURCE_URL> This URL scheme was originally included in the Latency Tips for orkut article when it was published in May. Since then, a new proxy URL scheme has been unveiled and we are requiring all developers to use it instead: http://www.orkut.gmodules.com/gadgets/proxy?url=<ENCODED_RESOURCE_URL> If you currently hard-code your proxy URLs in this manner, please make this change as soon as possible or your application may be suspended. Even better, please consider enabling automatic URL rewriting or using gadgets.io.getProxyUrl instead of using hard-coded proxy URLs.
