Hi Steve. As I indicated earlier, requestShareApp is not available in orkut.
Your general premise is correct in that passing an array of IDs into requestSendMessage is not supported -- only single ID strings or a constant like OWNER, OWNER_FRIENDS, etc. If a group constant is used, the user is prompted to type the names of their friends, and these names are autocompleted after several letters are entered.
