Install and uninstall event pingbacks have been in Shindig for months and months now; anecdotally we were told we would have lifecycle tracking months ago. Can we expect to see this in the near term? Is there a good place to advocate for this issue other than this forum?
My interest is actually in furthering some prototypes I have for OpenSocial app analytics frameworks. I would very much like to contribute to the OpenSocial spec, which needs definition of a more robust tracking api (explicit discussion of this at the 'containers' fireside chat at I/O). Since my only app is on Orkut, it would be very useful to be 'up to speed' with respect to lifecycle event tracking, and to explore how to weave these events in with other social app analytics features I have been implementing. Also, it would of course be terrific for us developers to see our install/uninstall data.
