Hello, Even I could see similar issue with fans list. My orkut fans list till yesterday(August 5th 2010) was around 4 but today it shows as 32 fans within my profile and if we click on the fans tab it will list only 4. So was bit confused.
I am sure there some issue so thought better to inform orkut developers. Let me know if my understanding is wrong.
