@Prashant Patil I think the recent change was already rolled out to all users, so all users have this new canvas. Orkut just should allow apps to take the whole available width. White space on the left and on the rigth is not very aesthetic. So it should be up to developers whether they want to make their app canvas wider than before or keep it the same. Orkut should just provide the ability to take it. Right now it's the same width but the canvas is wider.
Orkut people have already made a statement here that devs can develop now for wider width and it is not going to shrink in the future so I think it's a glitch.
