The New York OpenSolaris User's Group (NYCOSUG) will be holding it's 
next monthly meeting on Thursday, October 30th at the offices of Sun 
Microsystems Inc., in midtown New York City.

We will have two topics at this event:
1) Introduction to Puppet - what it is and how can it make system 
administration less painful.

Speaker - Larry Ludwig - Principal Consultant/Founder of Empowering 
Media.Empowering Media is a consulting firm and managed hosting 
provider. Larry Ludwig has
been in the industry for over 15 years as a system administration and 
system programmer. He's
had previous experience working for many Fortune 500 corporations and 
holds a BS in CS from Clemson University. Larry, along with Eric Moore 
and Brian Gupta are founding members of the
NYC Puppet usergroup.

2) OpenSolaris in Storage - trends in the storage industry and how 
OpenSolaris is shaping directions.
Speaker - Neal Weiss - Global Financial Services Architect, Sun 
Microsystems Inc.
Neal Weiss is a senior member of the NY Sun technical engineering 
community, with over
20 years experience in the storage industry.
