OpenSolaris Storage Summit 2008
The date for the OpenSolaris Storage Summit is fast approaching and time
is running out
to make plans to attend. The summit will be held at the Santa Clara
Hyatt Regency on
September 21st, 2008. We are holding it right before the SNIA Storage
Developer Conference
(SDC) that takes place at the same hotel the following week.
We know that many folks will be interested in attending SDC as well as
the free Storage Summit,
but cannot afford the registration fee for a full week SDC pass, so we
have decided to give away
a limited number of SDC passes to Storage Summit attendees.
Here's what to do if you want to try and win a free SDC pass:
1. Edit your name and contact information into the summit wiki site
<http://wikis.sun.com/display/OpenSolaris/OpenSolaris+Storage+Summit+2008>.
2. Sign up for the mailing list
<http://mail.opensolaris.org/mailman/listinfo/opensolarisstorage-summit>.
3. Drop a comment on the wiki page telling us you'd like to try for a
free pass.
We will collect all the names until August 25th and then judge the
applicants based
on need and participation in the event. If you want to increase your
chances, be sure
and sign up to do a poster or lightning talk.
