OpenSolaris FROSUG Meeting September 27th 2007 (OpenSolaris Testing) This months FROSUG (Front Range OpenSolaris User Group) meeting is on Thursday, September 27th 2007. Jim walker will give a presentation on OpenSolaris Testing.

About the presentation: The OpenSolaris Testing presentation will discuss some of the current OpenSolaris Testing Community initiatives, including open source test suites, OpenSolaris Self-Service Testing, the OpenSolaris test farm, and how OpenSolaris developers and test engineers can use and contribute to these resources to help ensure the quality of the OpenSolaris code base. The presentation will include live demos of the Self-Service Testing application, the test farm reservation tool and remote testing using test farm machines. In addition, Jim will give a short overview of the Mercurial source control management system used by OpenSolaris. http://opensolaris.org/os/community/testing/ http://www.selenic.com/mercurial/wiki/ About our presenter: Jim Walker is a Staff Software Engineer at Sun Microsystems and a member of the Solaris Quality Engineering organization. Jim joined Sun in 2002, and was the test lead for UFS, Default Logging, Multi-Terabyte UFS and the ZFS projects, and is currently the test lead for OpenSolaris and the SCM-Migration project. He is also one of the rotating leaders of FROSUG. Jim studied Computer Science and Electrical Engineering at Purdue University and Computer Science and Business Management at the University of Colorado.
