The JKstat project (http://www.opensolaris.org/os/project/jkstat/) is now live.
JKstat aims to provide a Java binding to Solaris kstats, allowing easy access to kstat data from Java applications. There are several easy ways to get involved: you can try out the prototype I've already written and report your thoughts; you can suggest new ways in which kstat data can be displayed, and suggest possible new tools; and if you might be thinking of using such interfaces then any requirements or suggestions for the API would be most helpful.
