I'd make it once per day, exactly like logadm.

Simple: if you don't want this optional package, then don't install
it.

I suspect what you're really saying is that (for SXCE and however long
*that* survives with the old installer) you don't want to see this in
your favorite metacluster.  I'd agree with that.  It probably
shouldn't even be in SUNWCall.
